{"id":1528,"date":"2012-08-17T19:08:18","date_gmt":"2012-08-18T02:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.brianschiff.com\/?p=1528"},"modified":"2012-08-17T19:09:34","modified_gmt":"2012-08-18T02:09:34","slug":"mini-band-hip-bridges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.brianschiff.com\/?p=1528","title":{"rendered":"Mini-Band Hip Bridges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While I treat a vast number of knee ailments in my practice, the focus of my training and rehab is often more proximally directed at the hip. \u00a0Understanding the role of hip muscles and how the hips and pelvis work together to impact knee alignment and closed chain function is critical in resolving knee pain and dysfunction.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a &#8220;go to exercise&#8221; exercise I use for gluteus medius activation and core\/pelvic stability training. \u00a0Using a mini-band provides an adduction force cueing the client to abduct and activate their external rotators to maintain proper alignment.
