While I am generally hesitant to promote other products, I am always\u00a0looking to expand my current knowledge base and learn something new.\u00a0I was naturally very skeptical when asked to recommend this product,\u00a0but I can honestly say that after reading this book that it is a\u00a0great product for any coach or trainer, or even athlete looking to\u00a0learn the ins and outs of speed development.<\/p>\n<p>The package is purely digital which allows immediate access, and\u00a0it&#8217;s currently being offered at a very reasonable &#8220;summer discount&#8221;\u00a0price of just $37. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/opr3opa\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Order it here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2071\" title=\"speedbook_l2\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.brianschiff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/speedbook_l2-192x300.png\" alt=\"speedbook_l2\" width=\"192\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.brianschiff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/speedbook_l2-192x300.png 192w, https:\/\/blog.brianschiff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/speedbook_l2.png 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 192px) 100vw, 192px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here are 3 reasons I like this resource:<\/p>\n<p><strong>#1- \u201cEncyclopedia\u201d is an accurate name for it<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It takes all the different elements of speed development and\u00a0condenses them into manageable chunks of content. \u00a0Sometimes I nerd\u00a0out and will read a 300 page book just on special strength training. \u00a0Sometimes that\u2019s just too much. But, if you\u2019re having a thought or working\u00a0through an idea, it\u2019s probably covered here and it\u2019ll give you some insight\u00a0to answer your question or send you to a more detailed resource or direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#2- It doesn\u2019t try to reinvent the wheel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I really like that Travis isn\u2019t trying to push some already\u00a0established format of training on you and the call it a cute name\u00a0and say that he invented it. \u00a0Some of the concepts you may actually know really well. \u00a0Others you\u2019re probably aware of, but have only a passing knowledge of. \u00a0Regardless, it\u2019s all in there. \u00a0It\u2019s like a central hub for training topics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh man, how does Post Activation Potentiation work again?\u201d \u00a0Just go to the book and get a Cliff\u2019s Notes sized version on the topic. \u00a0Maybe\u00a0it scratches your itch or maybe it sends you off somewhere else for a\u00a0deeper look. \u00a0With so much training info in my library, sometimes I\u2019m just\u00a0looking for confirmation of my own thoughts, not a research project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#3- It gives credit where credit is due<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the book talks about a topic, Travis cites the original\u00a0author\/creator. \u00a0He\u2019s not saying this is all coming from his brain, he\u2019s just done a lot of research and clearly cites whose idea it was originally. \u00a0Many of us who put out information have been bashed by people in\u00a0the industry who took credit for other peoples\u2019 information or\u00a0ideas. \u00a0Whether or not you believe anyone who sells any information can\u00a0actually take credit for inventing it (since everyone\u2019s coaching\u00a0philosophy is just a personalized interpretation\/presentation of other peoples\u2019\u00a0information) this book won\u2019t offend. \u00a0And since it cites all its material,\u00a0you can be confident it wasn\u2019t pulled out of the others.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, it is a very solid product. \u00a0<strong>It\u2019s only $37 right now<\/strong>. \u00a0Considering I rarely promote other peoples\u2019\u00a0stuff, I feel confident in telling you it is $37 well spent.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/opr3opa\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to order your copy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Athletes are always striving to be the best.\u00a0 There are lots of great coaches out there with different approaches.\u00a0 A few months back I had a trainer, Travis Hansen, approach\u00a0me to see if I might be interested in reviewing his speed product.
